“I am so grateful to have been coached by Shannon! She held an amazing space in which I found that mindfulness is something I was missing in my life and in a few short weeks I was forming deeper connections with my loved ones and finding more time for myself. With Shannon’s encouragement I have been able to reconnect to my authentic self and have been genuinely more happy and enjoying the “mundane” things in life. I have also gained insight on how to control how I perceive time and let go of the things I cannot control which has reduced a lot of stress and weight off my shoulders. Thank you Shannon for helping me rediscover myself and living a fuller life!”

“When I started coaching sessions with Shannon, I wanted to work on my relationship with food, learn to manage my mental health better, and lean into exercising. My first session was very exploratory – we uncovered things I didn’t even know were there. For example, WHY I felt the way about food that I do. Shannon asked good probing questions. It felt like a much-needed therapy session. From there we set manageable goals each week so we could track my progress. Sometimes, this was something as simple as being mindful of certain activities and feelings. Through this process I discovered journaling, with a helpful nudge from Shannon, that sometimes writing things down can make all the difference. This has helped me remember to check in with my body and mind during good times and bad. One thing I really appreciated was Shannon’s meeting follow up outreaches. She would summarize our session in an email and remind me of my goals. My most favorite part though, was her encouragement. I am a person who really needs positive feedback and Shannon helped provide that to me. Another aspect of her coaching I valued was her ability to medically explain things to me that aren’t easily understood – such different connections the brain makes to our actions and how we can “retrain” our minds by reframing situations. After finishing up my coaching sessions, I felt I had a better toolkit to work with and actually understood my body’s wants and needs. I often look back at Shannon and I’s email correspondence when I start to feel like I may be losing myself again, and it helps remind me that I can do hard things.”

“Before working with Shannon, I was recovering from a surgery and trying to focus on resolving ongoing gut issues, I was mostly focused on managing my overall health. Working with Shannon helped me to look in different directions and focus on important aspects of my health to continue to help me heal. Overall, it was positively impactful on my daily life! It was a pleasure working with Shannon! I appreciate her insightfulness and when she would dive deeper into small comments I made. I wouldn’t have thought to think outside the box, and I appreciated talking through various aspects of my life with her. I also enjoyed how Shannon went out of her way to research and provide tools/resources for me to use/access. I learned to focus on myself and small tasks I can do throughout the day to help my overall wellbeing. I learned that it is okay to slow down (: Sometimes it takes another perspective to help realize some negative habits and how they can be altered to positive ones. I would recommend Shannon’s coaching to anyone who is looking for guidance in their overall health and wellbeing.”
